Policies

Our goal is a happy customer.  We are dedicated to making this process simple and
straightforward.

To ensure our ability to provide superior service with reasonable prices, we have
developed the following policies. Please take a moment to review them, and let us know
if you have any questions.

Fees

Search:  There is no fee whatsoever for the search.

Purchase price:  When we purchase a vehicle, we cover any buyer’s fees and
transportation costs. The price we quote you is the total amount due us when we deliver
your car. It does not include tax, title, or registration.

Storage fee:  There are two instances in which you may incur a storage fee.  1) If we
purchase a vehicle for you, but you are unable to take delivery within a reasonable period
of time (usually seven days).  2) If you are not present at time of delivery, and have not
made alternate arrangements with us.  In either case, we may arrange storage for the
vehicle, and all storage costs incurred will be added to the price of the vehicle.

Cancellation fee:  Prior to our purchasing a vehicle for you, there is never a cancellation
fee. In most cases, even after we have purchased the vehicle, you may cancel without a fee.

The exception is in special-order cases, where the vehicle you have chosen will be
difficult for us to resell. If your vehicle will be a special order, we will send you a
purchase agreement prior to our purchasing the vehicle. If we purchase such a vehicle,
and you reject it for a reason other than the “mitigating causes” listed in the purchase
agreement, we may charge a cancellation fee of up to 10 percent of the purchase price,
plus any transportation costs incurred. Please see the cancellation policy, below.

Payment terms

Payment in full is due at time of delivery. We accept cash or certified checks.  We do not
accept credit cards, money orders, or personal checks.  All sales are final.

Warranties

Some vehicles come with the balance of the manufacturer’s warranty. Dixie Line Cars,
its owners and employees, offer no representations or warranties of any kind. All express
and implied warranties are expressly disclaimed. All vehicles are sold as-is.  All sales are final.

Cancellation policy

·   Prior to our purchasing a vehicle for you, there is no fee. Please just let us know right away,
so we can stop searching.

·   When we find a vehicle for you, please ask questions, and help us help you to make an
informed decision!  We keep our prices low by keeping our costs low. We would rather
take the time to find the right vehicle for you, than to transport a vehicle that you end up
not wanting. However, if the vehicle does not meet your expectations for any reason,
and it is not a special order (see below), we keep it, and you owe nothing. 

·   If you need to reschedule your delivery time, we request a minimum of 48 hours’
notice.  If you are not present at time of delivery, and have not made alternate
arrangements with us, we will, at our discretion, find an alternate buyer for the vehicle
or arrange storage for the vehicle.  All storage costs incurred will be added to the price
of the vehicle.

Special Order Vehicles

Special order vehicles are those that will be difficult for us to resell. For this reason, we
include the following steps and policies:

Please note – these steps and policies apply ONLY to special order vehicles!

·    As with all other vehicles, there is no cancellation fee prior to our purchasing 
    the vehicle for you.

·    When we find a likely vehicle, we will send you its information in writing, via fax or
email, along with a purchase agreement, detailing our cancellation terms for that
specific vehicle. Please review this information carefully, and ask for any additional
information you require. This can include a mechanical checkup, at your expense, if
you wish.

·    When we receive the signed purchase agreement, we will attempt to purchase the
vehicle for you. We cannot guarantee that the vehicle will still be available, or that
we can obtain it for the price you have stipulated.

·    At time of delivery, prior to paying, you will have an opportunity to test drive the car
(with proof of license and insurance). We also encourage you to have a mechanic or
other knowledgable person at the delivery site to look the car over. If the test drive or
at-delivery inspection reveals a mitigating issue of which you were not aware, you
can refuse the vehicle and owe nothing.

·    If you refuse the vehicle for any other reason, before or after delivery, we will charge
a cancellation fee of up to 10 percent of the purchase price, plus transportation costs.

·    If you are not present at time of delivery, and have not made alternate arrangements
with us, we will, at our discretion, find an alternate buyer for the vehicle or arrange
storage for the vehicle.  All storage costs incurred will be added to the price of the
vehicle. If we are unable to find another buyer in a timely manner, we may also
charge a cancellation fee of up to 10 percent of the purchase price, plus
transportation costs.
